Invitación a unirse al programa en los
diferentes puertos.
Around the Americas ocean science education program in Latin America.
The expedition has succeeded in traversing the northwest passage and is now headed south along the eastern seaboard of the United States. You may learn more about the expedition and its progress at our website: http://www.aroundtheamericas.org.Pacific Science Center has developed a K-8 Teacher?s Guide and an Informal Educator?s Toolkit to complement the expedition. These documents will be available in Spanish in October - all are free for teachers to download and use. The Science Center has also staffed the vessel with an educator, who is responsible for conducting outreach events in each port .
Please let us know if RED-POP museums would be interested in knowing about Ocean Watch?s visits to Latin America. Please contact our port call coordinator, Bryan Reeves at bryan.reeves @ pacsci.org
We are eager to find one point of contact at a museum in each of the cities listed in the attached itinerary so that we may coordinate with them to advertise our program and identify groups who may be interested in talking with us about the state of the ocean?s health in their community.
